Code of Ethics

At Sacred Vine, we gather in reverence, humility, and respect for the sacred plant medicine, for one another, and for the journeys that unfold within ceremony. This Code of Ethics exists to uphold a safe, supportive, and integrity-driven space for all participants.

1. Respect for All Beings

All who enter Sacred Vine are to be treated with dignity, compassion, and non-judgment. We honor each individuals background, beliefs, identity, and lived experience. Discrimination, harassment, or harmful behavior of any kind is not tolerated.

2. Personal Responsibility

Each participant takes responsibility for their own physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This includes honest disclosure of relevant health conditions, medications, and mental health history prior to ceremony.

3. Holding Sacred Space

We commit to holding a safe and supportive container for every individual journey. This means:

  • Refraining from interfering with another’s process unless requested or necessary for safety

  • Maintaining a calm, grounded presence

  • Respecting silence when appropriate

Facilitators and participants alike share responsibility in preserving the integrity of the ceremonial space.

4. Confidentiality

What is shared or experienced within ceremony remains private. We honor the vulnerability of others by not disclosing personal stories, identities, or experiences outside the circle without explicit consent.

5. Attire and Presentation

Participants are asked to wear light-colored, modest, and comfortable clothing as a reflection of clarity, intention, and respect for the ceremonial environment.

6. Consent and Boundaries

Clear consent is required for any physical contact, including supportive touch. Personal boundaries - physical, emotional, and energetic - must be respected at all times.

7. Sobriety and Preparation

Participants agree to arrive free from non-prescribed substances and to follow all dietary and preparatory guidelines provided. This ensures safety and honors the tradition of the medicine.

8. Integrity of Facilitation

Facilitators commit to serving with humility, training, and ethical responsibility. There is no exploitation—financial, emotional, sexual, or spiritual—within Sacred Vine.

9. Cultural Respect

We acknowledge the Indigenous traditions from which ayahuasca originates and commit to honoring these lineages with respect, without misappropriation or distortion.

10. Integration and Aftercare

The journey does not end with ceremony. Participants are encouraged to engage in integration practices and seek support when needed. Sacred Vine strives to provide guidance and resources for continued growth.
